Chapter Nine: Sydney

After clearing the lunch dishes, I go to my room and fire up my laptop. I promised Cole and Luke that I would look into the suit that their brother is trying to file against them. As much as I didn’t want to do any sort of work while I was here, I can’t just let them flounder. If I can help them, I will.

I start to scroll through the archives of Montana property law and completely lose track of time. Before I know it, Cole is knocking on my bedroom door asking if I’m hungry for dinner. I close my laptop and rub my blurry eyes. I’ve been digging as deep into the laws as I can, but everything I’ve found is confirming my first instincts.
